The Elizabeth Landmark presented at the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit 2026
Today, 21 April 2026, marks 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.
Yesterday, The Elizabeth Landmark was presented at the Commonwealth Trade and Investment Summit 2026 at Mansion House, London, where both Lord Devonport and Simon Hitchens, artist, sculptor and designer of The Elizabeth Landmark, spoke about the project. The summit brought together heads of government, ministers, senior business leaders and investors from across the Commonwealth
The presentation followed an introduction by Samantha Cohen CVO OBE, Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, who reflected on Queen Elizabeth II’s lifelong commitment to the Commonwealth and her role in its growth over the course of her reign.
The presentation focused on plans for a major contemporary landmark in Northumberland that will celebrate the life, service and enduring legacy of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as her deep and lasting relationship with the Commonwealth.
The opportunity was facilitated by Rt Hon. the Baroness Prashar CBE, Trustee of The Elizabeth Landmark charity, and provided an important platform to raise awareness of the project and its ambition to become a significant cultural destination in Northumberland.
